Interviews: Most of the assignment focused upon wide-ranging intereviews with the various FTTH stakeholders covering finance, regulatory and operational aspects includging:
- Finance – inftrastructure senior debt lenders/PPP lenders & bond issuers, multilateral lenders such as EIB and EBRD
- Finance/Regulatory – Government departments/European Commission covering State Aid issues, grant funding and structural funds, allowable aid and state aid intensity
- Operations – incumbent telecom companies, Altnet and fibre construction companies
Financial modelling: Detailed modelling of an agreed matrix of intervention areas, market take-up scenarios and financial structuring options Presentations: In-person presentation of findings/conclusions to large audiences at various FTTH Council conferences across Europe, and to the European Commission in Brussels
