Darryck Luiz

Darryck Luiz is a Head of Telecoms and has been part of the Portland team since 2011.

He has 25+ years of advisory experience across project finance, corporate finance and M&A, business planning, strategy and analytics.  He has advised on multiple project and structured financings involving the major ECAs, DFIs and other multilaterals.

Darryck has deep multi-sector knowledge across both the telecoms and mining and has been involved in varied industry leading transactions in these sectors, particularly in satellites and base metal mining.

Prior to Portland, Darryck worked in project and corporate advisory capacity at Ernst & Young, Grant Thornton, Citigroup and Duff & Phelps, as well as in-house at AngloGold.  He has a BComm and post-graduate diploma in Accountancy from the University of Natal and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales, as well the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
