Stephan Weissinger

Stephan has significant experience in advising on international PPPs, project finance and M&A transactions, with a particular focus on renewable energy and water infrastructure projects in emerging markets. Based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, he combines hands-on advisory experience across both the public and private sectors, enabling him to bridge government objectives with developer and lender requirements.

Stephan has advised governments, utilities, IFIs, private sponsors and investors on the preparation, structuring and implementation of PPP, project finance and M&A transactions. His experience spans Africa, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Europe and the Middle East, covering a broad range of renewable energy technologies alongside complex water projects.

Prior to working as an independent advisor in 2020, Stephan held senior roles at Fichtner Management Consulting AG, where he advised on international PPP transactions in the energy sector, and BAM International BV, where he focused on export finance for international infrastructure projects.

Stephan holds a BSc in Economics from Maastricht University and an MSc in International Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
