George Florea brings vast experience in infrastructure and energy advisory, spanning strategic investments, M&A and project development across sectors and geographies. George is based in the Netherlands.

George brings nearly 20 years of experience supporting clients across transport infrastructure, PPPs, renewable energy and broader energy transition projects. He previously held senior roles at Deloitte and EY, advising sponsors on complex transactions and bankability workstreams across Europe.

In addition to his consultancy experience, George worked at the Port of Rotterdam Authority as a strategic investment advisor, where he supported major investment initiatives across port and industrial infrastructure. His track record spans multiple infrastructure sectors and includes both M&A and project development work, with representative projects including a large-scale wind farm in the Netherlands, nuclear research reactor initiatives, port developments in the GCC and Latin America, and greenfield refining projects in the battery materials sector. He brings this cross-sector depth across energy infrastructure, ports and battery materials value chains to Portland Advisers.

George holds an MSc in Finance and Investments from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam.
