Guy is a seasoned finance and investment management professional with a track record of 25+ years.

His experience includes advisory and executive lead roles at Royal BAM, ING Bank and Deloitte, as well as board positions in various European infrastructure investment companies. Before joining Portland he spent 9 years at DIF Capital Partners where he was Global Head of Project Finance, responsible for all senior and mezz/subdebt solutions for DIF’s Infrastructure and Private Equity greenfield investments and acquisitions.

Guy has led numerous refinancings, debt structurings, equity investments and tender processes in multiple OECD jurisdictions. These include high profile and award-winning transactions, as well as projects with a valued regional or local impact.  Guy is an experienced hands-on dealmaker with natural emphasis on investor value, seamlessly integrating helicopter view strategic focus with strong analytical skills and sharp eye for detail where needed, and known to focus on sustainable relationships among counterparties, even in complex and challenging situations.

Sector experience includes Energy, Transition & Renewables, Digital Infra & Telecom (incl. Fibre, Datacentres), Utilities, PPP/P3, Infrastructure, Transport & Roads. Product experience includes investment management, equity instruments, corporate and structured debt, acquisition and platform investments and finance, Green & ESG linked debt, fund finance, multilateral finance products, hedging solutions, debt enhancements, guarantees and credit ratings, tender boards.

Guy holds a MSc in Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is fluent in English, Dutch, German and Portuguese, and has working knowledge of French.
