Grant has 20 years’ of experience in Project and Corporate Finance across global markets from Europe, the Middle East and most recently Australasia. He has broad sector experience in arranging and advising with particular focus in the Energy, Infrastructure and Real Estate sectors. He has successfully built and established teams in multiple markets.

• Most recently as Head of Corporate & Institutional banking at China Construction Bank in New Zealand he led the strategic client business.  Specific milestones included:
• Advised and arranged unlisted Infrastructure fund on market leading transactions in NZ Government offtake and BTR project financing
• Arranger for a renewable energy geothermal power plant project financing as well as Corporate Sustainable ESG facilities for listed energy entity
• Led the bank to its first PPP Mandated Lead Arranger role in the infrastructure sector in Australasia as well as numerous consortia bid processes
• Arranger for various entities of NZs largest listed Infrastructure fund; listed Airports and Telecoms & Energy
• Arranged China outbound M&A facilities in the Australasian Agri sector via the Hong Kong market
• Regular participant in advisory group to a NZ Government infrastructure body

Prior to his time in New Zealand, Grant spent over a decade in Project & Corporate Finance in London and Dubai with roles at IBJ, HSBC, Scotia Capital and Mizuho. During this time, he was involved in the origination and delivering of advisory and arranging mandates on numerous large-scale corporate, project and acquisition financings in the Natural Resources, Energy & Infrastructure sectors across the EMEA region.

He has a proven track record of successfully operating in complex emerging market cross-cultural environments.  Grant holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Property from the University of Auckland and has completed an Executive development program at Rotman Business School in Toronto.
