Michael is a former Big4 Director with 20 years’ experience in leading teams to deliver strategy, deal and regulatory projects for financial institutions and technology firms.

Michael was part of EY’s Financial Services Financial Modelling team in London. His experience spans from inception (i.e. capital raise, market entry, business plans) to exit (deals, wind-downs, post-merger integration, restructuring), including finance and strategic planning roles (i.e. interim-Finance and FP&A Director, performance improvement, cost reduction, strategic reviews). Michael was also one of the lead financial modelling trainers for EMEA while at EY.

Michael has previously been supporting Portland’s Telecoms team developing both his satellite and project finance expertise while applying his excellent modelling and analysis skills.  In his new role, Michael will continue to support Darryck Luiz (Portland’s Head of Telecommunications) as well as the wider Portland team and activities across lenders, advisors and industry players.
